Heavyweight Challenge — Free Boxing Arcade Game
Heavyweight Challenge slows everything down and makes every punch matter more. Damage on both sides is roughly doubled, recoveries are longer, and stamina drains faster. You are not looking for a twenty-punch combo here; you are looking for one clean opening per exchange.

About Heavyweight Challenge
Five fictional opponents stand between you and the end of the ladder, and each one is genuinely heavier than the last: more health, more damage, and a deeper willingness to trade. The first is a technician you can out-box. The third is a slugger who will end your run in two punches if you stand in front of them. The fifth throws haymakers with a wind-up so long that dodging is trivial and blocking is a mistake.
The interesting pressure in this game is stamina. Every punch costs more than it does elsewhere on the site, and a boxer below a quarter stamina moves slowly, guards badly and regenerates worse. Two rounds of aggression will leave you empty against an opponent who paced themselves, which is exactly the lesson the design is aiming at.
Health carries between opponents with a forty per cent top-up, so the ladder is a single long fight rather than five separate ones. Getting to opponent four with most of your bar intact is worth more than knocking down opponent two quickly.
Objective
Beat all five opponents in sequence. Health carries over with a partial top-up between fights.
How to play Heavyweight Challenge
- Punches cost roughly double the stamina of a standard duel — you cannot throw continuously.
- Read the wind-up. Heavy opponents telegraph longer, so slipping is more reliable than blocking.
- Blocking a haymaker still hurts. Against the biggest punches, move rather than guard.
- Between opponents you recover 40% of your health and 70% of your stamina.
- Opponent four and five have a second wind — their aggression rises sharply below 30% health.
Boxing mechanics in Heavyweight Challenge
Doubled damage
Both fighters hit roughly twice as hard as in a standard duel. Exchanges resolve in two or three punches, not twenty.
Heavy stamina cost
Punch costs are raised across the board and regeneration is slower, so pacing is a genuine mechanic rather than a suggestion.
Haymakers
Opponents four and five throw a punch with a 0.3-second wind-up and enormous damage. Blocking it still hurts badly; dodging it costs them everything.
Carried health
40% health and 70% stamina restored between opponents. The ladder is one long fight.
Second wind
Below 30% health, the later opponents raise their aggression sharply instead of retreating.

Tips and strategy
- Throw in twos, never in fours. Two punches and a reset keeps your stamina in the band where your guard still works.
- Against the slugger, step back the moment their glove lights up. Their reach is long but their recovery is the longest in the game.
- Never block a haymaker if you have a slip available. The chip damage through a guard is worse than most clean punches elsewhere on the site.
- Bank health, not time. Finishing opponent three slowly with 70% health beats finishing quickly with 30%.
- When an opponent hits their second wind, stop attacking entirely for five seconds. They will over-commit, and the counter window that opens is the widest in the fight.
Difficulty
Rated Hard. Opponent reaction windows are 0.36 seconds, guard rate is 44%, and damage in both directions is roughly doubled. The ladder is beatable but unforgiving of sustained aggression.

Heavyweight Challenge — frequently asked questions
How many opponents are in Heavyweight Challenge?
Five, fought in sequence. Each has more health and hits harder than the last, and your own health carries between them with a 40% top-up.
Why do my punches run out so quickly?
Stamina costs are roughly doubled compared to the standard duel games, and regeneration is slower. The game is built around pacing rather than sustained pressure.
Should I block or dodge the big punches?
Dodge. Blocking a haymaker still lets significant chip damage through, and the wind-up is long enough that a slip is reliable.
What is a second wind?
Opponents four and five become more aggressive rather than more cautious below 30% health. Backing off for a few seconds lets them over-commit and opens a wide counter window.
Are the opponents based on real boxers?
No. Every fighter on this site is invented — names, nicknames, colours and styles are all original and are not modelled on any real person.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. The touch strip is identical to the other duel games, and multi-touch lets you hold block while punching.
